Meghan + Jake | Cape Cod Engagement Session

Good morning, friends! Meghan + Jake are on the blog today, and I can’t WAIT to share these photos with you. Meghan reached out to me back in September, shortly after Jake proposed. We set up a consult call to chat about how they met, their wedding, etc. and I could tell right away that we were going to be a great fit. They were both so friendly, easy going, and so clearly in love. They told me how Jake proposed in the Cape, and they really wanted their engagement session there because it holds sentimental value. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to shoot somewhere new and make a little weekend out of it!

We had scheduled the session for Saturday, but with rain in the forecast, I asked if they would be available to shoot on Sunday. We ended up changing the session to Sunday at the last minute (shoutout to all my clients for being so flexible ) and i’m SO glad we did! We had the most beautiful, sun soaked (and WINDY) session….and it was perfect. They were totally up for anything and spent the evening laughing, and running around, while I was third wheeling

THIS is why I include engagement sessions in my packages. It’s so nice to be able to meet and work with my couples prior to their wedding, have some fun, and get them comfortable in front of my camera so that they know what to expect on the day of. Plus, you get some pretty rad photos out of it. Congratulations, Meghan + Jake — You two were a dream to work with, and I can’t wait for your wedding next year!
