Becky and Ryan’s summer wedding at the Crane Estate is one that’s stuck with me for a while. Not just because it was at one of the most beautiful venues in New England, but because the whole day felt familiar from the start. Becky had been a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago, so I walked in already recognizing a handful of faces—which always makes things feel a little more relaxed right away.
They were both incredibly laid back and trusted me completely, which gave me the freedom to create in a way that felt really natural. Nothing felt forced, or overdone — just a really wonderful group of people, a beautiful setting, and a couple who were genuinely excited to be there.
They shared a first look at the stone arch at the base of the Grand Allée, which feels a bit tucked away from the rest of the property. It gave them a quiet moment together before the day really got going.
For the ceremony, they chose the Italian Garden. It’s slightly more enclosed than the open lawn, which makes it feel more intimate, but it still has that classic Crane Estate backdrop.
Later on, we stepped away for a few minutes during golden hour and walked down the Grand Allée. We had the most perfect sunset and pink skies, which made for the most beautiful photos (and made my photographer heart happy). It was the most beautiful celebration and I’m so happy I was able to capture it all!
